MODAPTS® Practitioner Certification Course
Mon. 4/29 - Wed. 5/1 9:00am - 4:30pm Thur. 5/2 8:00am - 12:00pm
An in-depth review of problematic coding practitioners encounter when first using MODAPTS®. Yellow Belt is designed for new practitioners to demonstrate proficiency in using the MODAPTS® system. Problematic Coding is the required course to attain the Yellow Belt Certificate. In addition, participants must complete one elective course.

Data Blocks save time and encourage consistency when performing studies. Data blocks use one code to describe a series of MODAPTS actions which occur together frequently. Green Belt is designed for experienced participants to develop advanced skills in using the MODAPTS system. Block Data is the required course to attain the Green Belt Certificate. In addition, participants must complete one elective course.

This course addresses the design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, equipment, and energy. It will draw upon specialized knowledge and skills in the mathematical, physical, and social sciences. Black Belt is designed for experienced participants to demonstrate thorough understanding of all of MODAPTS® applications in a variety of work settings. Work Study/Method’s Engineering is the required course to attain the Black Belt Certificate. In addition, participants must complete one elective course.

The Master Black Belt training program is a platform giving Black Belt Practitioners an opportunity to advance their skills in the use and understanding of MODAPTS®. The core objectives involve reviewing relevant research, conducting relevant research, participating in peer reviews of student research, developing advanced uses of MODAPTS®, publishing findings, and developing better tools used for conducting studies. 16 credits are required for Level 1 certification with one credit awarded for every half day of training and for peer reviewed research.

Designed for Ergonomic Specialists to learn how MODAPTS® analysis can supplement and facilitate their work by providing an overview of the system and its findings.

Also known as hand control MODAPTS®, this course covers the handling of large and/or heavy objects such as loading/unloading trucks, material handling and assembling large and heavy parts.

An open forum round table discussion of the applications of Ergonomics & MODAPTS® in the automotive industry.

Studying an operation may be constructed by visualization/ simulation or by direct observation. This course covers the techniques for gathering and recording the information needed in developing engineered labor standards. Both MODAPTS® and stopwatch study taking are covered.

Designed to understand how the MODAPTS® system allows us to integrate the key outcomes of ergonomics into the production process. Here some of the more fundamental aspects of ergonomics will be covered and their effect on MODAPTS® analysis and coding.
